Weekly Update 3/1-3/4

I hope you are all loving this fresh pow that has been falling this week. Winter has finally decided to join us, better late then never. The conditions have been amazing and I am so exited to finally be able to get into the woods.

As you my have heard our Killington trip this week was a big success. All of our MMSC riders made huge strides forward. The progression we have seen is amazing for all our riders, even with out our own pipe this season. I am very stoked to see the development in the next few weeks months and years for our crew. Our MMSC snowboard future is looking very bright!

Looking ahead at the next few days to come, we have a few events on our plate.

First tomorrow March 2nd, we will finish up our USASA NVT season at Smuggs with the final slopestyle and rail jam of the season.
Slopestyle #3 and Molly Rail Jam.  We will Register from noon-1pm at the Madonna Base Lodge, the event will take place in the Zone park off the T-Bar. The event will be a 1 run and done event.
After the Slopestyle we will move down to Morse and Sir Henry's under the lights for the  Molly Jam and NVT End of Season Party @ the Jam...please bring a munchie snack to share, chips and dip, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, veggies, fruit, ect..and BYOB. NVT will have a raffle so bring your pennies, and as every year, the NVT competitor who raises the most money for the Molly Fund will ride/ski at no event cost for the 2012/2013 season.

Saturday and Sunday will bring a few more options.
Option A.
USASA SVT event's at Mt. Snow for Slope style on March 3 and a Halfpipe on March 4. Traditionally Southern Vt is the toughest region in the nation. This will be a great warm up for nationals. However due to the weather we may be canceling this option. Please stay tuned over the next 24hrs for this final decision.
Saturday's Weather for West Dover Vt. : Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then showers likely. High near 48. Breezy, with a southeast wind 16 to 22 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Option B.
For any rider who is still in need of Halfpipe points. March 4th in the USASA Maine series will hold a double event. From the looks of things all of our Half Pipe riders are set and this event is no longer needed.
Option C

We WILL send any rider in need of Slopestyle points to the Hunter Mt. NY's Catskill series March 4th. This event would be a down and back event. There is also a Slope style at Windham, Mt. NY. on March 10th for any rider who may need points. Nick "Sev" P, will be heading down on Sunday morning leaving from Shaw's market at 3:30am.

All other riders will train at MMSC as usual Saturday,Sunday, and Monday
